I grew up with pets. You name it, I probably had it (except a snakes – though we did have an iguana). I have had dogs, cats, birds, furry rodents of all types and rabbits; though thankfully not all at one time. I worked part-time at a vet for years and have volunteered at dog rescues for almost 16 years. I was even on TV every week on Channel 13 in Hampton Roads with dogs that needed homes! Right now I have 3 dogs and a rabbit. Several of my dogs have physical or emotional issues and all were rescued or adopted from shelters. My husband calls me the crazy dog lady; but helping animals is my passion and selling real estate is my job so this site helps me merge both my passion and my job.
I know what it is like to trying to rent a house with 3 dogs. I know what it is like to put in an offer on a house, only to find out the HOA will not take 1/2 your pets and the listing agent didn’t even know the community rules. I know what it is like to sell a house with multiple dogs and the preparations for showings, and taking them all out of the house on ‘car rides’ while buyers are there. If I haven’t done it, I have probably worked with people who have when it comes to pets and real estate.
It can be difficult to buy, sell, or rent a home with pets, especially when you try to work with people who don’t understand. I want to help people and if I am not local, help them match with other pet-friendly agents around the country. Call me at 844-435-7325 to talk about how I can help.
